Kalencom’s Multitasking Bag is a great travel companion for parents on the go. I really like this bag. It kind of reminds me of the one I had many years ago. Diaper bags really don’t change much over the years except maybe for the material does get better I’m sure. This bag has plenty of room and pockets. It has two zipper tracks. The pulls are connected with a tie piece to open at the same time. Overall, this bag is extremely handy. Due to the reviews I read this bag is extremely likable, and many would recommend it, and it is stated that it will hold up really well.

The Kalencom Multitasking Bag has a zippered top opening up to a very roomy interior. It has a multiple storage pockets inside and out, and an adjustable shoulder length strap so Mom could put it to her desired length. A very nice feature that I like is adjustable hooks that secure the bag to almost any stroller or shopping cart. There’s two exterior insulated bottle pouches with toggle closures, and a matching zippered pouch, and an extra added feature a large coordinating diaper changer pad. Who could ask for more.

PROS:

Zippered top opens to roomy interior

Multiple storage pockets inside and out

Adjustable shoulder length strap

Adjustable hooks secure bag to almost any stroller or shopping cart

Two exterior insulated bottle pouches with toggle closures

CONS:

It may take some practice opening the duel zipper with one hand if it can be done, and you must be careful it doesn’t get entangled.

Jogging mom’s have seemingly infinite choices when it comes to jogging strollers. There are some with swivel wheels, some with baskets and some without, small or large wheels, etc. But so far there has yet to be a stroller that allows moms to jog truly-hands free.

Although Jogging strollers are amazing inventions and have kept parents healthy for years, there is always the annoyance of breaking your stride to push the stroller ahead then jogging back up and repeating. After a while of this your back, legs, and wrists start to ache and it has nothing to do with your workout. There is a solution to all of this, although many of you may not know of it: the Stroll-Smart for jogging strollers.

Features

Adapts to any jogger stroller

Quick release mechanism

Spring loaded action

Lightweight construction

Comfortable stretchable belt

Attachable to virtually any jogging stroller with a cross bar handle, the Stroll-Smart enables you to run 100% hands free and without breaking your stride. It weighs only 1lbs 5oz and is made to look like part of your stroller rather than a quirky add-on. It attaches to your stroller handle then wraps around your torso with a comfortable adjustable belt. This way you are using your core to push the stroller, enabling you to keep your natural posture and arm swinging motions while alleviating any awkward pressure on your back, hands, or legs from constant pushing.

The Stroll-Smart is meant to be used along with your jogger’s safety strap. It’s also made to break easily away in case of a fall (think treadmill safety strap) to increase both your and baby’s safety. Without your jogger’s safety strap around your wrist, if you were to fall you would be cleanly released from the stroller and baby would keep on moving.

Still not sure if the Stroll-Smart is right for you? See a list of frequently asked questions on the stroll smart website. Stroll-Smart offers a 100% money back guarantee for up to 1-year of purchase so you can test it out and see if it’s right for you.

MSRP $49

At your baby’s first birthday when the floor is covered in a pile of colorful toys, more than likely she is going to bypass everything and crawl straight for the tissue paper. The first year of life is a time of exploring and discovering different textures is one of their favorite things. Just like feeling crinkly tissue paper, your baby will probably have more interest in the satin tag attached to their stuffed animal than the toy itself.

After watching the fascination their children had with all of the manufacturers tags on their toys, co-creators Julie and Danielle banned together to create Taggies–one of the most beloved toys of babies today.

Taggies bring several different sensory builders together in one easy to love toy: bright colors, soft fabrics, smooth tags, and, depending on the model, pleasant chimes or rattles. Each toy, no matter if it’s a ball, security blanket, or toy phone, has several tags of different textures around the edges to keep even the youngest babies entertained. These tags are soothing to children and are often loved by fingering the fabrics until they go to sleep. As baby gets older, the tags help encourage motor development by offering an easy way to pick up the toy and hold on to it while rolling over or crawling.

Taggies is a multi-award winning company and consumer reviews show the toys being loved over and over again by babies. Often, while reading reviews, parents are saying that their particular Taggie has become their child’s security blanket and can’t be left at home even into the toddler years.

If you’re looking for that perfect shower gift or Christmas gift for the baby in your life, Stroller.com has a selection of linkable Taggies that can easily attach to your stroller or car seat for on the go entertainment. Taggies items are very affordable, but the amount of fun the babies enjoy is priceless.

Hiking is one of my favorite things to do with my children. I have been hiking since I was three years old and my love of the outdoors was something that I definitely wanted to continue after having children, yet I found myself somewhat stumped when it came to transporting my non-walking children. The best thing I have found for hiking is back carriers such as the phil&teds Metro Child Carrier. What better way to allow your non-walking children to enjoy the outdoors than with the best seat in the house–your back!

The Metro Child Carrier is lightweight and compact meaning you won’t be bumping into tree branches or other people. The Metro is spectacular for a diverse range of situations from cruising around the city, using the subway, or out in the mountains hiking a high peak. Outfitted with an adjustable back length and adult waist harness, the carrier can be comfortably fitted to a wide range of caregivers. Accommodating children from three months to three years (40 lb. weight limit) the Metro is made of an aluminum frame with a nylon seat and storage areas. The storage areas are perfect for lunch, water bottles, and the other various accoutrements that accompany a child. With this carrier you will receive a removable sun visor and rain cover as well as a changing pad for those on-the-go changes. Another great feature of this carrier is that it can stand up by itself if you want to feed your child or just need to set them down for a moment’s rest. A child should not, however be left unattended in this carrier at any time.

Pros:

Adjustable padded child harness

Fits children 3 months to 40 lbs./3 years

Includes sun visor, changing pad, rain cover

Cons:

Back carry only

Child is carried away from the body

Do you remember what it was like to go out to dinner before your child was confined to the wooden high chair that seems to be standard protocol in most restaurants? If your child is anything like mine, that wooden chair is anathema to them and getting them into it, well, I’d have better luck wrestling an alligator. Once again, phil&teds has come up with a solution–the MeToo Travel High Chair.

This simply designed high chair can adjust to fit on almost any table top (.7″-2″ deep) and can accommodate a child of up to 40 pounds/3 years old. The aluminum frame gives this high chair its durability while the nylon seating lends itself to comfort and clean up with a wet cloth. However, I do want to note that the nylon seat is not removable which may make it difficult to get the seat thoroughly clean.

I have two favorite features of the MeToo Folding High Chair. First off, it weighs a mere three pounds. Three pounds! Can you believe it? Yet this small, but mighty chair can hold even my 35 lb. three-year old. Since your child is right there at the table with you, it allows them to feel more involved in the dinner instead of just a spectator in a wooden seat. The other thing I like is that this three-pound wonder folds flat for an easy fit into your diaper bag. This is the perfect seat to stow in the car “just in case”. This seat is also equipped with a four point harness making it a much safer choice than the standard restaurant high chair.

Pros:

Aluminum frame for durability

4 point harness

fits tabletops .7 inches to 2 inches deep

folds flat

Cons:

No back support, only the aluminum bar

Nylon seat cannot be removed to put in the washing machine

Difficult to clean

Ever struggled with something for years before you stumbled upon a solution on the store shelves and realized, “Yes! That’s exactly what I need?” I’m not sure if this phenomenon is a blessing or a curse (I suppose it depends on how long you’ve struggled), but either way it’s nice to finally have that irksome problem solved. Today I’m going to show you 3 items that may just give you that “aha!” result you need.

Car Seat Protectors

Most (okay all) people don’t keep child car seats in their cars forever. Once your baby has outgrown their car seat however; the seat of your car may have some lasting damage. The bottoms of infant and child seats often dig their way into your car’s upholstery leaving deep dents. Your upholstery may or may not recover depending on the damage and how long the seat was placed there. That’s where the seat protectors come in. They place a necessary barrier between your child’s seat and your car’s seat protecting it from any damaging effects. On top of this, they are also great for keeping crumbs and other spills at bay. Car seat protectors can also be purchased with organizers giving you that added storage space you need for diapers and other baby necessities.

Stroller Carry Bags

You may be traveling with baby and all of her gear, but that doesn’t mean you have an easy way to go about it. Especially when flying, you may have need of your stroller once you get to your destination, but not necessarily in the airport and certainly not in flight. Rather than doing your best to haul the awkward stroller under your armpit and hoping it doesn’t give way and unfold, give yourself a gift and purchase a coordinating stroller bag. Many stroller manufacturers offer these in addition to their strollers and they really can make traveling go so much smoother. Once your stroller is zipped snuggly in the bag, you can use the shoulder strap knowing your stroller is snug and not about to unravel. Stroller bags also have the added benefit of being able to stuff all the other “stuff” you weren’t able fit into your carry-on luggage bag.

Changing Kits

Why do I need a changing kit? I already have a diaper bag. Yes you do have a diaper bag, but you still could use a changing kit. Why? Because it isn’t an effective use of time management to dig through your stuffed black hole of a diaper bag just to find the diaper cream. Plus, I know you’ve debated back and forth with yourself on more than one occasion whether or not to haul in the big baby suitcase with you to a place you plan on only staying a few minutes. You know if you choose not to however, that inevitably baby will need a diaper change and it will be much more trouble than bringing it along in the first place. Changing kits are much smaller than a diaper bag and much, much slimmer. They hang easily on the back of a stroller, but aren’t heavy enough to tip it. Most styles can open with one hand and have organized pockets with everything you need attached right to the changing pad. They protect your baby from nasty germs no matter where you’re forced to change her and pack easily in the back of your car so you are never left without resources even when you’ve forgotten the diaper bag.

Have you had any aha! Moments with baby gear? We would love to hear about it!

This ergonomic and modern design is sure to stand out amongst its colorful counterparts. It looks so DIFFERENT than the traditional highchair, but the HighPod’s non-traditional features will surely have you falling in love. The HighPod can accommodate a newborn to a toddler, maxing out it’s weight limit at forty-five pounds. The three position recline allows even young infants to use this chair and if they fall asleep right after eating, you can recline it even more to make them comfortable. This model is especially easy to clean because the form-fitting insert is easy to remove as well as smooth for an easy wipe down. The seat height is adjustable so your little one can easily be included in your family dinners whether they be bar-style at a higher counter or down at the family table’s level. The five point harness provides maximum safety for your little one, no matter how squirmy they are and the food tray can be removed with one hand to facilitate clean up and play time easily. I personally, cannot get over the sleek look of this high chair. This chair would not only be a useful piece in your home, but would be a conversation piece as well! Style and function all in one! If you are on-the-go a lot, phil&teds have used their ingenuity to design the MeToo Folding High Chair. Be sure to check it out for those dinners out on the town!

Pros:

Accommodates newborn to 45 pounds

Reclines to 3 different postions

Removable insert for easy clean-up

Cons:

Large base (sturdy, but takes up a lot of space)

Instructions for assembly are pictures only

Cost

When I had my daughter I had the cutest baby blue diaper bag with fun little characters on the front. But every time I handed it to my husband I always got “the look.” You know that look they get when they want to know if your serious in wanting them to carry this girly diaper bag. Well now men don’t have to carry girly diaper bags around anymore! Diaper Dude Diaper bags offer Dads a manly bag to carry when they are out with the baby. These diaper bags are designed with dads in mind. These cool bags will have dads everywhere ready to grab the bag and fill it with everything baby will need for outings.

Diaper Dude Diaper bags have been featured on many television shows like “The View,” TV’s Extra, and also in Parenting magazines. Diaper dude diaper bags come in many different styles; the Messenger bags with Skull and Cross Bones, and the Diaper Dude Pack bag and Deluxe larger versions for Dad diaper bags in black and gray. Many of these bags are offered in a variety of colors, too.

Diaper dude diaper bag reviews mention they love all the compartments the bags has to store essentials for themselves and for the baby. They love that they don’t have to carry around those flowery patterns any longer and loved that it’s a neutral bag that dad’s and mom’s can carry. Some find that on some bags they wished the pockets were a bit larger for carrying more and men with larger hands. This isn’t the typical diaper bag but they are stylish and find they stay on the shoulders when carried. Many say that even after the diapering days are over they get much use out of this bag for older children, too. Great for new dads and a gift for Father’s day.

The blistery cold winter months are creeping in upon us and I’m already starting to feel the chill in my bones when I step outside the door. In these times you especially want to make sure you keep babies and toddlers covered when out in the cold weather, even if your just going from car to door or car to store. It’s so easy for babies to get sick that you have to do everything you can to keep their little bodies warm. One great way of doing that is having a carrier cover, like the Kiddopotamus Cozy Up Carrier Cover and Std. Strollers. Carrier covers are absolutely wonderful for keeping baby cozy warm. What I love is that the face is open on these allowing baby to breathe. These are designed to provide warm and comfort for newborns on up to 22lbs. They secure easily with an elastic band on the outside of the carrier or stroller.

For covering single strollers, lightweight umbrella, and jogging strollers from the cold elements the Warm as a Lamb Single stroller covers is the only thermally insulated winter stroller coat cover that can keep children warmer and fully protected from the winter elements like snow, wind, and freezing rain. They cover the whole stroller to also provide protection to keep your stroller looking new.

Warm as Lamb stroller cover reviews by owners who recommend these to any one who doesn’t let the cold weather keep them in the house. Some would suggest airing out the product for a few days before using it. Theyfind that there was a strong plastic smell and several had trouble with the zippers. Although a few things were mentioned in the reviews many owners still feel that this is a wonderful product for keeping baby safe and warm while out in the cold weather.
