Rain Covers / Sun Covers:

Pros: They keep your child protected from the elements and safe from harmful UV rays.
Cons: They can be bulky and get moldy if not put away dry.

Parent Consoles:

Pros: Convenience!
Cons: There really aren’t any cons; most strollers come standard with them.

Stroller Cold Weather Protection:

Pros: They keep your child warm in the winter months.
Cons: They can be difficult to get your child in and out of and are sometimes very warm when children already have a heavy coat on. They are better used for chilly nights!

Stroller Seat Pads and Liners:

Pros: These keep your stroller looking new longer. With these protective seat pads and liners, they not only offer comfort for your child but allow you to easily remove and wash if needed.
Cons: Installation can be a bit tricky but in the end it’s worth it.

Stroller Adapters:

Pros: If you have an infant car seat; these are a must for your strollers. It makes life so much easier if you can just snap and go.
Cons: If you don’t get the adaptor to fit you stroller and car seat specifically they don’t work. So do you homework.

Stroller Organizers:

Pros: They keep necessary items (diapers, wipes, bottles, etc.) handy and convenient.
Cons: They are bulky and can tip the strollers if they are too heavy.

Seeing the pros and cons, once again “Are they worth it?” I guess it’s a matter of what is more important to you as a parent. I have a complete line of their products for my kids, play yard, travel system, high chair, and a swing. I love all of them, they have lasted me through 2 infants and well into the toddler years. And I love the fact that they match!!!

Problem: The recall is on the stroller’s buckle. The current buckles have a tendency to release when the stroller is in use.

Strollers Affected: The affected strollers are marked with the item number below and one of the following manufacturing date codes. The item numbers are found on the original box or on a sticker on the rear wheel crossbar. The manufacturing code is on the outside of the original box and is engraved on the frame (on the rear wheel axle crossbar or the upright bar between the right rear wheel and the seat).

Item Numbers: 67100, 67170, 67102, 67172, 67173, 67103, 67104, 67174, 67105, 67175, 67109, 67179

Manufacturing Codes: 2007.11.1 through 2009.2.28 (please note that there is no recall on strollers made after 2/28/2009)

Resolution: If you have one of these strollers, please contact either the store you purchased the stroller or Baby Jogger. They will be able to send you out replacement buckles for your stroller. Please have the model number and manufacturer date ready when you call.

We all understand that keeping our children safe is our duty as parents, grandparents or family members. Baby Jogger recognizes it as well. So we owe it to our children to take the time to check their strollers and comply with any and all recalls that may occur. Safety 1^st was the first branch to be developed by Dorel. In 1984 the very first product launched was the “Baby on Board” Sign. And with that success they launched an extremely effective campaign of child safety products. (Outlet covers, drawer latches, gates, and much more) It quickly became the industry leader worldwide in this niche market.

Quinny & Maxi Cosi are two brands that compliment each other well. Designed around the idea of being innovative and fresh, these strollers and car seats are fun and functional. Bright colors combination are reflected across both lines, and everything is interchangeable. Also, don’t forget the awesome additional accessories!!

Cosco is the more economical line in the Dorel family. Their most popular items include car seats and booster seats. I have 4 of these myself and my kids love them. They are affordable and easy to install. Their strollers are quality products backed by affordability.

Seeing the success of their other brands, they added the Eddie Bauer and Disney licensed brands to their already impressive product line. Eddie Bauer is associated with top of the line products; strollers, car seats, play yards, etc. And Disney, need I say more? Who can go wrong with power players like this?

The Dorel Juvenile Group has built its reputation; backed by affordability, feature-rich, quality, safe and unique products. For over 25 years, this company has built an empire around the safety and happiness of your child! And as an owner of some of these products, I personally can attest to their effectiveness. Along with the car seats, I have baby proffed my house with outlet covers, door knob covers, and cupboard latches (all from the Safety 1st line). I love their products and would recommend them to anyone!

My favorite line is the Endangered Species line. BabyPlanet has teamed with the Wildlife Conservation Society and developed this line of strollers around endangered animals; lemur leaf frog, monarch butterfly, snow leopard and tiger. $5 from every stroller sale goes to the WCS. So not only are these strollers stylish, they help the environment and the animals that inhabit it.

Another great way that BabyPlanet is going green is their recycling program. If your stroller (their brand or another brand) is able to be reused, they help you find someone in need of a stroller. If your stroller is not roadworthy, they help you recycle your stroller so it does not go into a traditional landfill. The entire stroller is 100% recyclable.  So not only is BabyPlanet benefiting your child now, they are looking to create a safer and healthier environment in the future for them.

Currently, BabyPlanet is  under a re-organization plan, and will not be launching their new line until this fall. So finding their strollers to purchase now is almost impossible. However, we are keeping up with them daily at Stroller .com; so keep checking back to see when they will be available. I am hoping to see them start shipping sometime within the next month!

I know that more and more, stroller and child care companies are looking to go green. So no matter what brand name you have, check with them to see if they have a recycling program or what pieces can be recycled. Just a little help from everyone, we can make a big difference.

All of the Foundations Strollers have great features and benefits, like comfortable seating with independent recline positions, individual easy-to-use harnesses, and canopies to block out the sun or bad weather. They all include the innovative braking system, Safebrake, which activates the brakes automatically when the parent lets go of the handle. And they also built in foot activated brakes for when the stroller is parked. And they offer a one year warranty on workmanship and manufacturer’s defects.

The highly sought after QUAD stroller tops the list. I  know – you are thinking “quad” that must be one very large stroller. Actually it is quite compact without taking space away from the children. It fits through a standard door frame. Who would have thought? The side by side design allows your children to interact with each other as well as the environment. I know you are also thinking that this stroller has to be expensive, but it’s not! It retails at $399.99. A price that is about the same as some high end single stroller models!

Foundations also offers a Trio stroller; for family’s with 3 children. This stroller is a tandem riding stroller so it allows the children to interact more with the environment around them. Like the Quad stroller it also fits comfortably through a standard door frame. The Trio is also very affordable at a sticker price of $299.99.

Finally, Foundations offer two types of double strollers. One is a tandem stroller and one is a side by side. So depending on the style that you like, depends on your choice. These both are extremely affordable at $189.99.

Foundations is a great company who specializes in an area before moving on to another venture. The strollers are their most recent venture and they are making sure that they are top of the line items. They only come in the royal blue color at the moment, but know that this may change in the near future. (At least we hope) Foundations has made a line of strollers that are built for durability but priced for affordability.

The Schwinn brand is mainly known for their bicycles. Domination in this market made the company look for other ways to expand their business. So they looked to jogging strollers, bicycle trailers, fitness equipment and much much more. With great strollers like the Free Runner and Free Wheeler, they have outdone themselves. They have also strengthened their branding by creating the Schwinn Hope Jogging Stroller, which part of the proceeds goes to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness. So choosing a stroller with such a brand history should be easy right? Well the hard part is choosing what style and color will best fit you and your needs.

InSTEP, has designed the same type of jogging stroller, but offer new looks and styles. Whether looking for a swivel or fixed wheel jogging stroller, InSTEP has what you are looking for.
