Hi, I’m a mom of 3 girls and am expecting my 4th. I have had SO many strollers. I’m now exploring my options for a double stroller for my #3 & #4 kids. They will be 26 months apart and I am looking for one that fits a 2 year old and a new born and is light weight and doesn’t take up my entire trunk.
We don’t live near many specialty baby retailers so I’ll be ordering my stroller online so I won’t be able to try it out before buying it.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Rachel
Hi Rachel!
Thanks so much for leaving a comment, I’m going to do my best to help you out
There are several really great double strollers are the market today. All double models are going to be pretty bulky, but I found a few that might work best for you:
If you’re just looking for a lightweight umbrella stroller try one of these models: Double Strollers Especially the Joovy. Though not as sturdy, they will take up less space.
If you don’t mind trading trunk space for a sturdy model these are two of my favorite double stroller models ever!
The Zooper Tango is a super hip side by side model.
And the Kolcraft Contour Options is a tandem stroller that I think you might really like. This would be an *ideal* fit for a newborn and toddler.
All of those models can be purchased here
Let me know what you decide on
Hope that helps!

Sarah,
Just be careful with online retailers selling recalled products. After receiving a recommendation from a salesperson I purchased a Baby Jogger City Mini Double. I waited 7 days to receive it, opened the package, went to register the product for the warranty and while on Baby Jogger’s web site compared the brand new stroller that I received from Let’s Go Strolling.com against the recall notice. It was after comparing the manufacturing date and item no against the recall notice that I realized that Let’s Go Strolling.com sent me a recalled stroller. I am currently dealing with them now on a solution but what a hassle!
If I bought the stroller secondhand , then I would have expected that it might be a recalled model, but here I payed full price for a new stroller that has a defective buckle.
Just wondering if you can differentiate between the Maclaren Quest or Techno XT and the Esprit Sunspeed (other than price!).
I am drawn towards the Sunspeed because it is less than half the price of the Maclaren strollers, but am curious if the Maclarens have anything of value that puts them above and beyond the Sunspeed?
Thanks.
Julie,
Thanks so much for your question, its a great one!
Maclaren strollers are known as the Mercedes of the stroller community. They are the top of the line when it comes to quality. Unfortunately that shows a lot on the price tag.
You can be sure that the Maclaren will be very well made and last a while…however, if you’re not interested in the fad and just want something light and easy to use, go for the Esprit.
I would look into the finer details (like the features on each stroller) to see which is right for you.
Good luck!
Hi there,
I am looking for a double stroller. I will be having my second baby in September and my first will be 21 months. Just wondering if you could direct me to a double stroller that can be used for everyday use as well as on gravel or dirt paths.
Thanks.
Please check out my reply to Rachel above….I think those models might be worth looking into!
Hi! Just stumbled onto your site and I love it! I just posted a question on one of your reviews. Here’s my issue. I’m short on time, nerves and info. I need a long lasting stroller for my 9 month old who has a myriad of health issues. I’m short and my husband’s hip comes up to my shoulder! I have to see her face at all times and need storage for her medical stuff. I live in Northern Canada where winters are messy (it’s already been -30+ and we have a foot of snow). I drink a LOT of coffee so cup holders would be lovely too. I don’t want to pay $800. Is there anything that you can suggest for us? I’m flying to Vancouver Hospital next month and need something for her quick! Thank you for your time!
HI Stacie. I’m one of the writers here at strollerreviews.net and I’d like to try and help you if I can. It is quite late for me to be awake but I did have one stroller come to mind when you said that you would like her to face you. It gets rave reviews.

The seat is reversible so she can face you when you need her to and there is a large basket for supplies. Also a lovely cup holder like you requested for your coffee too.
Peg Pergo also has reversible seating have a look at this review

handles are height adjustable for your tall husband.
I’m still looking for another model that may suit your needs and maybe some of the other girls I work with will be able to help you as well. Blessings to you and your precious baby girl.
Dear Stacy: I’m a mother of four and a grandmother of nine so I think I know a tad about strollers, and prams (buggies). My personal opinion for you would be a pram/stroller. Being that you live in Northern Canada with the messy cold winters taking baby out in a stroller he/she would have to be bundled considerably I would think, and in a buggy it would block a lot of the cold breeze, and/or snow flurries etc. Now, you don’t want anything really heavy, so you can take off added extras if need be, so I’m going to suggest the Zooper Ska Stroller which is part of a series of strollers called the Zooper Escape Line.
These strollers are very lightweight, and extremely easy to use. Very lightweight and extremely easy to use are the key words here. Looking for a stroller that’s not going to cause havoc in your life because you can’t steer it, too heavy or it’s big and bulky? Stop here because this is the stroller you want. If you want that lightweight stroller that’s not going to strain your back this is the one you want. You have to do some quick errands, and you still want to use your car seat? Worried about waking up baby going from store to store? Well, just leave baby in the car seat by putting them in this lightweight easy to fold stroller.
The Zooper Ska Stroller seems to me to be pleasing to the one who’s in charge. Being lightweight, easy to fold and has very soft material of good quality. An essential feature it has a sun shade, rain cover, a cup holder and tiny storage bag unit for baby essentials.
This Ska Stroller is quite attractive and sturdy, and the UV shade keeps out the sun’s harmful rays. Now, some say there’s a rough ride on concrete and different terrains, but in this writer’s opinion there would be a rough ride with any stroller if you had a rough terrain. The holiday season is upon us, and if you’re looking for that extra-light weight stroller to go store hopping, visiting friends, and/or relatives the Zooper Ska Stroller is the one you need.
