Shady Baby Stroller Parasol

Sometimes the hot pesky sun can be so darned, well, pesky. If you’re a parent of a fair skinned child (like me) and have struggled to keep its rays out of the stroller and off baby’s skin for years, you’ve probably had it up to here with its peskiness. Home remedies such as a blanket draped over the stroller’s sun visor just seem to overheat baby and are a pain to keep adjusting when they slip off–or in my case, when baby kicks them off with his foot because it’s funny to watch Mommy pick it up again and again.

In the midst of parent’s struggle to heed the warnings against too much sun exposure, Shady Baby Stroller Parasols were born. After traveling all over Europe, founders of Shady Baby, Heather and Brian Winterling, discovered most European childrens buggies were equipped with little parasols. Inspired by these tiny trend setters, and modern contemporary style, they brought the ultimate in stylish baby sun protection to us.

These little umbrellas clip to almost any stroller (or playpen) and can pivot to block the sun from any direction. They are both waterproof and UV protected with SPF 50+. When the sun slips behind a wall of clouds, no biggie, just leave the clip on the stroller, and pop the umbrella out to fold and store. I am a big lover of fashionable accessories for babies, and Shady Baby Stroller Parasols certainly ooze sophistication and style. Along with solid colors in bold red, orange, lime green, and blue, they have fun retro prints like sock monkey or my personal favorite: Pink Dots (so girly).

If you’re thinking it’s time to ditch the blanket, check out stroller.com for a list of ShadyBaby compatible strollers.
