Reminder from phil&teds

In light of the recent Maclaren voluntary product recall to fit hinge covers on their strollers, phil&teds would like to remind its customers to use the phil&teds hinge covers available for our e3, e3 twin and sport v1 strollers. These were available from Spring 2008, both as a retrofit, and on new products. These can still be acquired free of charge from phil&teds or retailers.

The self-fit hinge cover set was a product improvement for the e3, e3 twin and sport v1 that was offered to consumers free of charge as part of phil&teds’ worldwide voluntary recall to repair, in conjunction with the CPSC from August 2008. Kits were sent to thousands of customers across the US. More information can be found on our product support page.

From time to time, we’ll have a great idea to improve our products that may require an additional part or repair, modification or replacement after the manufacturing process. Sometimes, new concerns arise outside the testing and production framework that require our immediate attention. In every case we strive take positive, proactive product improvement measures, and to make them available to parents. In most cases, a simple (free) replacement part is all that’s needed.
