Phil & Teds Vibe

By Tricia Fandry
Parents these days want lots of choices and features when it comes to strollers, and why shouldn’t we. Some days my kids spend hours in the stroller and making it easier for me to get around, and still be comfy for them is what I need. The Phil & Ted Vibe stepped it up a notch. Made with an all aluminum frame to cut back on the weight, and offering a new slide and click doubles kit.  The Vibe is easy to assemble, and with “quick release” parts for a smaller breakdown for storage.

It will be a challenge to figure out how to fold the Vibe, but once you do you can get it done with your eyes closed.  Another great improvement is the Vibe folds with doubles kit attached.  How cool is that?! A roomier under seat basket than what’s on other models made by Phil & Ted is also another nice improvement.

Phil & Ted Vibe Stroller reviews say they love the sun shades multi-positioning feature. They love the large wheels on the Vibe and say it gives nice smooth ride for your baby. Stroller reviews say its easy to hit the hand break by mistake leaving you stopping suddenly in your tracks, and this will put wear and tear on the tires which could cause a blow out. One reviewer reported getting a replacement tube at Target. Overall users still love the Phil and Ted Vibe despite the small issues with the tires.

installing the seat cushion on the doubles requires an engineering degree from MIT and the patience of Job. Can someone please tell me how the shoulder harness snaps back after installing the cushion? they are impossible to reconnect.

Dan – have you contacted the customer care department?
A degree from MIT is great but not required to put a seat cushion on :)
Please call Customer Care @ 800-839-4985 and a very helpful phil&teds head will be happy to help!

The problem with Vibe reviews is they are made after a short experience with a new stroller. The Vibe is great out of the box, but once your tires go, it is a useless $700 obstruction.

The issue with the tires is not “small.” They are non-standard, made of a quickly degrading rubber, and Phil & Ted’s does not make them available anywhere in the US. The inner tube is an issue by itself. It’s an infuriating nightmare that makes you dream of a class action suit.

Why can’t we buy replacement tires from a reputable store that sells Vibes? No one should buy a Vibe. Ever.
