The Mongoose Hope Jogging Stroller

The Mongoose Hope Stroller is a jogging stroller manufactured in Canada for Breast Cancer awareness.
It’s a limited edition stroller in grey and black, and highlighted with pink to represent breast cancer awareness.
It is designed to be easily maneuvered so it won’t slow you down as you jog around the park, do your errands, or rush to an appointment. The front swivel wheel allows for sharp turns and easy movement. It can comfortably seat a child up to 40 lbs and features a five-point safety harness and well-padded seat.
Some more great features of the Mongoose Hope Stroller:
  • It has large, shock resistant aluminum wheels which allow for a very smooth ride for your child.
  • It has a very durable steel frame.
  • It offer pockets for your child’s snacks or a small toy.
  • There are pockets, a tray, and a storaga basket for a parent’s belongings.
  • It has a large canopy which can be moved to be used as a windbreaker or sunguard.
  • It has an adjustable safety harness, so your child will be safe as you are on the move.
  • The handle is adjustable for taller parents.
  • The seat cover is easy to remove and wash.
The Mongoose Hope Stroller usually retails for about $169. The canopy material is a tad stiff and the storage basket not very accessible, but these are small drawbacks for such an affordably priced jogging stroller. If you are looking for a well-priced jogger to take out on various types of terrain that will comfortably and securely seat your child, this is a good consideration.
There is an optional carseat adapter, but this must be bought directly from the company itself (Dorel). There have been reports of the adaptor being difficult to get a hold of, but for this review for StrollerReviews.net this was not attempted. Some carseats, such as the Graco 22, are compatible with the Mongoose Hope Stroller without the carseat adaptor.

I love this stroller. It moves so easily. I can push and turn with one finger. It goes over snow and grass with no problems. My daughter falls asleep within 5 minutes of riding. It has a parent and child tray both are removable. It is a bit wide and is very bulky when you fold it. It barely fits in the trunk of our honda but it does once you get the hang of it. It’s great for someone who does a lot of walking or wants to jog. I’ve had three strollers thinking I could find one that’s better and this one is by far the best for traveling on foot.

How old is your daughter? I have bought it but the seat frame is right above my daughter’s head. I am wondering in a few months the seat frame would be right under her head and it would bother her, wouldn’t it?

I love the jogger but when I try to jog the wheels wobble a lot. Maybe my baby isn’t heavy enough yet he is 13 pounds. I think it might have to do with the shocks.

I’ve had this stroller for almost a year now and I love it! My little guy falls asleep almost instantly and will continue to nap even once we’re back home in it. There are two things that, for the price, I am more than willing to deal with but they are as follows. The adjustment for the seat recline gets tangled and can be a bit of work if needing adjustment (I have found that I haven’t needed to change it very often), secondly there is no clip to keep the stroller closed. I have a heavy duty “bungee” style elastic with velcro to keep the stroller closed up while transporting.

    Wanda,
If you look up the Schwinn Free Wheeler Jogging Stroller it is an identical product. On my instructions it said 6 months of age (has to have neck control) and its good up to 75lbs. Your model may be slightly different but if you contact dorel juvenile group (the manyufacturer) they should be able to give you further information.

I have had 3 jogging strollers and this one is the most bulkiest….If I knew that I would have hunted around for another. And sometimes I am running some where it wants to tip…. It also want to tip in the strong winds we get here. Not stormy just windy….
I love that it reclines but such a hassle with putting it up or down…..
