The 2009 GuGu 102 From Guzzie+Guss

The GuGu 102 for 2009 is the second stroller premiering from Guzzie+Guss, a Canadian company that traditionally manufactures baby supplies, including bedding and carseats. Last year Guzzie+Guss offered the lighter weight GuGu 101 to the public as their first step into the stroller market. The GuGu 102 is a great upgrade for parents who want more longevity and use out of their strollers. It usually retails for about $500 and comes in Ruby, Earth, Titanium and Platinum. I reviewed the stroller for StrollerReviews .net and am able to happily recommend it.

Some great features of the GuGu 102 include:

• A reversible seat offers three positions of recline.
• It offers a very smooth ride, with front swivel wheels and all-wheel shock absorbing suspension.
• Seat converts to a bassinet for infants.
• Adjustable handle bar for taller parents.
• Frame is a sturdy aluminum.
• A rain cover and weather shield are included.
• The fabric is removable and easy to wash.
• The storage basket is a relatively good size, and a small pocket is available for your cell phone or keys.
• Can be used with a baby from birth all the way up to 50 lbs.
• Easy to fold even with the seat attachment still on.
• Seat has an adjustable safety harness.
• Offers as an optional addition (separate purchase) a universal car seat adaptor.

The Guzzie+Guss line of strollers may be difficult to find outside of Canada, and at 25 pounds is a bit heavier than most strollers on the market (a drawback if you have to lift it upstairs, or load and unload it into your car trunk often), but it’s a great looking stroller, easy to maneuver, and the bassinet option helps makes it a great deal for parents looking for a complete stroller travelling system. My favorite aspect of the GuGu 102 (and a quality I prefer in strollers) is the ability to have your baby facing towards you, or away- this is great for bonding with your baby as you stroll, or allowing your baby to view the world as he gets older and more curious.
