If you’re looking through Maclaren stroller reviews for an upscale but basic umbrella stroller you should check out the Maclaren Techno XT Stroller. Known for their chic umbrella strollers, this Maclaren stroller might be the one for you. As we all know, umbrella strollers are super convenient. They are easy to transport, easy to store, and just simply easy to use. However, they can be overlooked due to their lack of features or their “cheap” feels. Maclaren strollers are far from cheap. The Techno XT Stroller scores just shy of 5 stars with parents in Maclaren stroller reviews making it this model worth the look.

The Maclaren Techno XT is the company’s flagship model. At only 14.2 pounds, it combines a lightweight, well built frame with a stylish look. Actually, the frame is made from an aeronautical-quality aluminum. With that kind of quality, you know the Techno XT is ready for a beating.

While the Maclaren Techno XT is basic, it does have some features that other umbrella strollers do not. Just when you thought umbrella strollers couldn’t be easier to use, the XT features one handed folding and a convenient carrying handle for easy storage! The Techno XT was also built for comfort. This stroller maclaren-techno-strollerfeatures a five position reclining padded seat and an extendable foot and leg rest. This is a feature not many umbrella stroller can boast of, and I really feel that a reclining seat with the extendable foot and leg rest is a significant plus.

The reclining seat makes the stroller great for newborns. So if you don’t like the bulkiness of the travel system you could easily use the XT. The stroller also comes equipped with a squared canopy that features a storage pocket. So you can store little items that will still be within reach. You also have a mesh storage basket underneath the seat for the rest of your child’s things. It is easy to get to as well.

When it comes to safety features, you have height adjustable shoulder straps with a five-point harness. The XT comes equipped with foot linked parking brakes and lockable front swivel wheels. There is also the front wheel suspension. It proves to make the ride more stable; however the plastic wheels don’t make for a 100% smooth ride.

Based off of Maclaren stroller reviews the Maclaren Techno XT Stroller has shown that it is a stroller that will last though several children. Of course for that very reason it very well may be one to look at. With a price tag of about $280, it is on the higher end of the budget. However, the maneuverability and flexibility makes this umbrella stroller a winner with parents.

I own this stroller and I love it! My son was born in NYC, so we needed something lightweight that was easy to fold up for subway rides. This stroller was perfect. When he was super-tiny, we just carried him in a baby carrier, but he has been riding in this stroller regularly since he was 8 weeks old (He’s 18 months now). It barely takes up any room in your trunk and is truly easy to fold even with just one hand. I strongly recommend it for families who live in big cities and rely on public transportation.
