Are you pregnant and expecting twins or a second child? I remember when I found out that I had a 2nd child on the way.
The shock! The excitement! The confusion. Having two in diapers would be challenging, but picking out a double stroller would be just as tough.  I knew nothing about them, so I began my research and  came across so many brands and so many styles. Which was the best for me? Which one is going to fit in my car and not take up the whole trunk?

The Baby Jogger City Mini Stroller fit many of my needs. Its not only very stylish but is light in weight and has many great features, too. This all terrain compact double stroller fits 2 babies side by side without needing a WIDE Load sign to attach to the front. This side by side double stroller fits through isles at the grocery store with plenty of room to spare.

Getting through crowds is a breeze with 8 inch wheels and a front wheel suspension. It is easy for this double stroller to travel on rocky trails, grass, or up a hill. This is a true one handed maneuvering stroller even if your little one’s are of different weights. The two large adjustable sun canopy’s, peek-a-boo windows, side panels covers, and mesh windows are just a few of the City Mini Stroller ‘s extra features

folding_strollerThis Baby Jogger comes with Patent Quick Fold Technology. Just grab the strap and pull to close.  To secure the fold just look under the seats for the strap marked “Storage Strap” secure it around the bars to keep it closed. The Baby Jogger Double City Mini folds Compactly to fit in most trunks or behind seats for storage.  Its lightweight allows for an easy lift up and into the car.

The Baby Jogger Double City Mini comes equipped with 5 point safety harness to secure baby in the seat. Extra plush padded seats give baby a super comfy ride for a restful nap or fun trips to the zoo. Seats recline to almost flat position by using the adjustable strap allowing for multi-recline height.

One of the only problems stroller reviews found was that is was nearly impossible to reach the basket from the rear.

Depending on what you need in a stroller this one can be your perfect fit for you!

I’m thinking of buying this stroller for my almost 2 and almost newborn (nov. ’09). I’m trying to figure out the difference between his and the city micro double. Have you seen the micro double yet? Is the mini worth $100 more?

I am wondering the exact same thing! I’ve been searching and searching and just cannot find the difference on these 2 strollers.

Hey Rachel and Sally, Great question!

It look like some of the differences are in the wheels and the canopy. The Micro has smaller wheels, a one positioned canopy, and then is generally a little more compact.

The Mini has a miltu positioned sun canopy and wheels that are a little more heavy duty.

        Both are great strollers though!

You can check them out on Baby Joggers website here: http://www.babyjogger.com/

        Hope that helps!

I checked out the Baby Jogger web site and it also states that the Micro is not suitable for newborns because the seat does not fully recline. That was a key in making my decision to get the Mini. I live in NYC.

We purchased the Bugaboo Frog for our now two year old but I’m due againin November. What are your thoughts on the toddler attachment for the Bugaboo? I’ve heard various things and am now considering a Phil & Teds. Any advice?

this cracks me up. we’re all sort of on the same page. i am due with number 2 in november 09 and i will also have a kid turning 2 in november. trying to figure out that $100 difference as well. And if one is lighter than the other. when i looked at these initially, the micro wasn’t available.

You mentioned that the City Mini Double folds compactualy “to fit … behind seats for storage.” Figured I’d take a shot and ask if you have any idea whether it will fit behind the 3rd row of a 2004 Honda Pilot. I think I’ll be ordering one a but can’t test it out first so I’d love to know beforehand whether it will fit behind that 3rd row seat. Random question, I know. Thanks for the review!

I think so, they fold pretty compactly….but there will not be room for anything else!

recently looked at the baby jogger mini and micro as well. like the previous poster, i believe the biggest differencce is that you can’t put a new born in the micro. Also, i heard from the guy at the store that there is now a board that baby Jogger sells that you can put in the back of the seats to make them more stable.

You can use the car seat adapter in the micro and and mini.. So an infant can sit it it…
