Schwinn & InSTEP – Behind the Scenes

Seeing all of the reviews on this blog for Schwinn & InSTEP strollers, made me want to look into the background of the company. Both stroller brands have been created by the same company. This parent company is Pacific Cycle, Inc.; a division of Dorel Industries, Inc. Pacific Cycle is a global leader in branded consumer products, with brands such as Schwinn, Mongoose, InSTEP, Schwinn Motorsports, Kid Trax, Playsafe, Roadmaster, Pacific, Dyno and Powerlite. While most of these brands are bicycle oriented, they have expanded into the jogging stroller market and dominated.

The Schwinn brand is mainly known for their bicycles. Domination in this market made the company look for other ways to expand their business.
