Jeep Overland Limited Jogging Stroller
By Beth Fitzimmons
Jeep strollers are popular because they have a reputation for being well-made and packed with fun features. Popular features include the “Music on the Move” tray that allows parents to turn the stroller into a stereo using a personal audio device, such as the iPod. It is important to know that the Jeep Overland Limited Jogger is not a stroller intended for everyday use and quick errands. But it is a wonderful jogging stroller meant for outdoor use.
If you’re an athlete that loves to take baby on jogs with you, then this is the perfect stroller. The Overland Limited Jogger is not ideal for maneuvering around aisle hogs at the grocery store or for trips to the mall. The front wheel of this stroller is stationary to improve the jogging experience. I think a lot of parents mistakenly purchase jogging strollers thinking
that they work the same way as all-terrain strollers meant for everyday use, but they don’t.
There are a few main things to know about jogging strollers:
• They have three wheels instead of four
• They are heavier than all-terrain strollers
• They take up a lot of trunk space
• They are generally more expensive than all-terrain strollers
My exercise comes from chasing my kids around while yelling, “No, don’t touch that!”, but I’m happy to note that avid joggers love the Jeep Overland Limited stroller because of its safety features, namely the adjustable 5 point harness, the reflectors and the rear disk brake. It has a smooth ride and the large wheels help parents maneuver curbs easily and safely. This stroller does have small cup holders that are made for a bottle of water (and not a super-sized Coke). Jeep stroller reviews did report that the odometer is plagued with problems.
All in all, the jogging parents of the world recommend the Jeep Overland Limited, and give it a thumbs up!

My husband and I want a ‘main stroller’ (the ‘One’) that can do most jobs most of the time withoud a need to spend over $300 for a decent one. Also, living out in the country and being rather outdoorsy, our “Main” stroller must allow for jogging-all terrain -we’ll gladly sacrifice maneuverability and space for a smooth, safer ride.
So when it comes to value, it seems like the Jeep Overland Limited fits all our requirements short of a question I still have:
* Can it be used for newborns? (don’t care to jog while baby is too young; just don’t want to buy another stroller if I can avoid it)
* Does it accomodate car seats -specifically Graco? (again, if not jogging, it would be nice to simply snap and go between car and a location with minimal disturbance to our little one)
If the Jeep does not allow for these features, as I understand the point for manufacturers to avoid unsafe usage in the first place, are there any other options for Jogging/all-terrain strollers with similar features and price that allow for this intended use?
I would really appreciate any help. Thank you very much,
