Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller

Talk about a stroller with options! If you’re traveling with multiples, The Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller is a great, affordable pick.
Kolcraft provides yet another stroller to its collection that is also reversible (y’all know how much I love that option). The Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller ranks high with parents receiving 4 out of 5 stars in stroller reviews. The flexibility, durability, and safety help this Kolcraft gain its high marks.

This Kolcraft stroller is a great one to grow with. The stroller comes packed already with one infant car seat adapter which will fit most car seats on the market. If you have twins, you can purchase another adapter to carry both car seats at the same time. Both seats are equipped to reverse so your children can either both face you, face each other, both face forward, or sit back to back. Seats also have four reclining positions. The front child bar rotates and can be removed for easy child access. If you have an independent toddler like mine, you’ll love that this will allow toddlers to get into the stroller all by themselves.

Are you pregnant but only have one child right now? This stroller is a great “plan ahead” stroller because if you don’t currently need two seats, the system’s uniflex design will allow you to remove the extra seat, giving you a lightweight single stroller with plenty of storage in back. How ‘bout that?!

kolcraft options tandem 2When it comes to safety, The Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem is certified for safety by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA). The stroller features a height-adjustable five-point safety harnesses that also includes reflective padded sleeves. Of course, the harness is built for safety just as much as for comfort. The removable infant head rest protects your newborn’s head and sunrider canopies adjust in all directions to protect your babies’ sensitive skin from the sun. The eight-inch single swivel wheels and 10-inch rear never-flat wheels make this stroller easy to maneuver while the fabulous unique floating seat design uses suspension to ensure a smooth ride.

Of course I couldn’t forget about you. This Kolcraft was made to be super convenient for you to take along and use. You’ll love the Easy Trigger Fold and the Free-Stand feature! While the Easy Trigger Fold will allow you to open and close with ease, the Free-Stand feature allows for easy storage because it will stand on its own! No more, wall propping! Need to store in a tight spot? Just remember, that the seats are removable! This Kolcraft also includes a removable parent tray that features two drink holders. You also have a nice sized storage basket underneath.

kolcraft options tandem 3Really, while reading Kolcraft Stroller Reviews, the only complaints I’ve seen about this stroller is the fact that it is big and heavy. This complaint is very common among tandem strollers. You just have to keep in mind that the stroller needs to be large enough to carry two children safely yet be convenient at the same time. Also, I’ve seen complaints from parents with children who may be tall for their age. These parents find that the seats are somewhat shallow and find their children are taller than the seats. Aside from that, this is a reputable stroller!

For the money, the Kolcraft Contours Options Tandem Stroller is a great pick!

This is the stroller I was looking at when I was pregnant with my second child. To me, it seemed like it was way too long. I thought it would be difficult maneuvering through stores or the worst, Disneyland!

Thanks for your comment Michelle! Did you even test drive the stroller? I would love to hear feedback :)

Does this stroller have snack trays/cup holders for either seat? It looks like there are just bars.

This Kolcraft model does not have a child tray, but that is because the seats are removable/reversible. There is a nice parent tray, but but if this is a deal braker, its easy to get a universal cup holder ect.

I am still amazed by this stroller! Haha, its just too nifty!!

I have this stroller and i absolutely love it, and while it does not come with the trays you can order a different front bar from kolcraft that does have the cup holders etc.

I love that the seats are so lightweight and with them off this folds up really well and is not too heavy for me to haul into my van.

I have a 4 month old and he hates being in his carseat so i put him in the normal seat and just have him facing me unless the sun is in his face directly then i remove the seat with him still in it cause he is light enough and spin him around.

Can you give an impression of the front steering for this stroller? I had a single of this stroller and was very frustrated with the pushing/directionality of the single front wheels. It appeared to me that the front wheels did not carry the weight of the stroller in a balanced fashion and it required alot of “push force” on behalf of the parent.

In comparison I currently have a Valco, and they have all terrain front wheels with full swivel features. I have also driven the Graco singles and Joovy Caboost, etc….and the pushing factor of this Kolcraft Single was very frustrating.

I am looking for a new double, and the features of the Kolcraft Contours Tandem is very exciting and the price is appropriate, but I am wondering about the steering of the front wheels.

Can it be pushed with ease?

Can it be pushed with one hand? (needed when there are 4 kids under age 5 here!)

    THANK YOU!

I had so many people ask me where I got this stroller and i have to say that I LOVE it.
I have b/g twins and this is by far the best stroller to have!! It manuvers very easily, it has tons of storage space (I can’t even tell you how many shopping bags I have stuffed under there at once).
It is a little long, but was perfect on our annual Six Flags trip because it held ever prize the older kids won, jackets, water bottles, diaper bag and then some. It is a little tricky in the mall, but let’s face it the mall is not double stroller friendly.
Other than being bulky, I could not fit it in my Dodge Stratus’ trunk, it is absolutely my favorite stroller that I have tried.

Does anyone know where to test drive this stroller? I’ve seen it online in lots of places, but can’t seem to find it any stores.

    Thanks!
