Baby Jogger City Elite Series Single Stroller
By Tricia Fandrey
Looking for an all terrain stroller? Baby Jogger City Elite will provide what you need. The City Elite has 12′ wide tread wheels, and the swivel single front wheel providing easy handling and excellent maneuvering capabilities across grass in the park, gravel road and even sandy beaches. This extremely sturdy stroller can stand up to the trails to give your baby a comfortable and safe ride. Coming equipped with great safety features like reflective stitching, a rear parking break, a front lock into place for the swivel front wheel for long walks.
This all-terrain stroller has an adjustable handle bar for those of different height, easy quick reach handlebar console to store your keys, cell phone, sunglasses, or cash. A drink holder is also readily available. Convenient easily accessed under seat storage for packages or a diaper bag. A One touch fold mechanism will allow for a quick easy fold by grabbing the strap in the center of the seat it easily folds in half even while your holding the baby. To open you will need two hands.
A deep plush padded seat with a 5 point harness for added security is a necessity for riding safety and comfort. The seat reclines at an almost flat level position and has a vented seat top with a retractable cover for those windy or chilly
days. A kicker provide added leg support and easy access to under the seat storage. This kicker feature is perfect for a smaller child or a diaper changes. Who wants to use those public changing tables. An accessory mounting bracket allows you to accessorize by adding a tray or a mounting bracket for car seats.
One unique feature that I love on this stroller is its wide bubble like multi position sun canopy. This canopy can shade baby from the harmful rays of the sun, wind or rainy weather complete with peek a boo window and 2 side air vents with flaps and magnetic closure’s. No more messing with velcro. How cool is that?
The Baby Jogger has a weight limit of 75 lbs. Baby Jogger will provide long time use and a comfortable ride for a kindergarten depending on the weight of your child. That’s a great value for your money.
The only complaint that I have found with this stroller is the overall weight. Weighing in at 25 lbs, its heavy. Lifting it up to put it in a trunk/back hatch maybe difficult if you have a baby in your arms or a bad back. Not to mention you wouldn’t want to carry this up a flight of stairs, but if none of this is an issue its not a terribly bad range for weight. Most strollers weigh in close to this. Even with the wight this stroller is rated at a 5 star by many of its users.

I love the look of this stroller…so sleek! I love strollers that fully recline because my daughter tends to knock out in the stroller.

Hi
Can someone tell me the differences between the 2008, 2009 & 2010 Baby Jogger City Elite Stroller? I am looking for a double & have come across several pretty good deals on the internet but the BJ site only gives the 2010 demo/stats.
thanks!!!
I got this stroller 2 years ago and lately I have been having a problem with the stroller tipping backwards constantly, even when I do not have a diaper bag attched to the back. A few times I have put my child in this stroller and it tipped back on it’s own without any warining. I am growing increasingly concerned for my child’s safety, and I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.
Hi Hannah,
You should check the break on the back wheels of your stroller. Since the breaking gear consists of a plastic gear with spokes and a metal rod to lock into the plastic spokes. The material of the plastic spokes are very thin and weak, and the metal rod breaks the plastic spokes very easily.
My stroller is 2009 model (with black trim on the wheels), right now the break parts are totally damaged, that means no matter if you step down the break, it will move anyway.
It is a serious safety problem, you should stop using the stroller and contact the company regarding this issue.
